Luciano D'Amico was born on 3 January 1960 in Torricella Peligna (Chieti) and is a full professor of Business Economics. In Teramo he was dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, where he currently holds the role, and from 2013 to 2018 he was rector of the University.
Since 2014, with the centre-left government at the helm of the Abruzzo Region, he has been president of the regional public transport company (Arpa) He is a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
