On Monday, France became the first country to include abortion (voluntary termination of pregnancy) in its Constitution. This Friday, March 8, International Women's Rights Day, the sealing ceremony of the Constitution will be held on Place Vendôme at 12 p.m.

This is the first sealing ceremony open to the public in history. There have been fourteen “sealings” of laws since 1946, the last one dates back to 2008. The Elysée calls on the public to go there from 11 a.m to participate in the ceremony.
