Two new tools have been presented by the public authorities to better combat violence against women in Charente-Maritim. An interactive violence prevention terminal is available to municipalities and associations.
Another tool expected this time for fall 2024: a traveling van to cover the territory. In 2023, nearly 1,900 cases handled by law enforcement concerned victims of domestic violence (+14% compared to 2022). Around sixty serious danger telephones and 12 anti-reconciliation bracelets were also activated.
