A bill currently under debate in the National Assembly aims to call into question the legislation governing driving licenses. It would allow certain road users, who identify as ‘road professionals’, to more easily recover lost points on their licenses.

They could follow a road awareness course twice a year, instead of currently only once every year. There are almost 100,000 licenses invalidated each year and nearly 13 million points withdrawn over the same period. If this law is adopted it should only concern road professionals.
