The suspect hit and stabbed the children with both objects, police sources said. The arrested 21-year-old is a German-Bulgarian. The public prosecutor's office in Duisburg said it would not comment on the case until Thursday. A teacher was the first to come to the children's aid. The incident happened a few meters from a school in the city.
