Bad Tölz wants to upgrade the Hindenburgstrasse intersection in the center - the plans. Mayor Ingo Mehner invited residents, the city council and experts from the administration.
Mehner saw a need for action in many respects, but only made one fixed requirement: The busy, wide and dangerous intersection for pedestrians with traffic lights and wide turning lanes should be replaced by a roundabout with crossing aids. The project is ambitious, as was shown at the recent on-site visit. Mind you, this was only about the traffic area, but not the architectural sins on the edge.
