Eni discovers huge oil field in Ivory Coast. The field, called Calao, is located approximately 45 kilometers from the coast and reaches a depth of 5,000 meters in 2,200 meters of water depth.
President of the Republic of Ivory Coast, Alassane Ouattara, and the CEO of Eni Claudio Descalzi met today in Abidjan. The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé and the Minister of Mines, Oil and Energy, Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly.
