A 41-year-old man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for the rape of a disabled woman. The accused, who denied the facts committed in 2020 in Draveil by evoking a consensual relationship, did not convince the Essonne criminal court.
The defense lawyer, Me Jacques Bourdais, pleaded for acquittal, recalling that his client has no prior record. “I will appeal,” said the latter at the end of the hearing. The young woman has attempted to end her life twice, her older brother declared in court.
