The frigate "Hessen" set off for the Mediterranean at the beginning of the month. The warship with around 240 soldiers on board is expected to take part in the EU mission until the end of April, subject to the Bundestag mandate. According to the German Navy, a sister ship will be deployed in the second half of the year.
