More than seven million French people were considered by INSEE to be “poorly registered” at the start of 2022. Two other million were simply not registered, according to La France Insoumise.

A good number of voters, even though they are old enough to vote, cannot therefore fulfill their civic duty. The LFI deputy for Bouches-du-Rhône deplored that “no national registration campaign has been planned” before the registration deadline, May 3.
