June will open with a particularly hot weekend due to a depression over Egypt moving eastward towards us. The coastal plain and lowlands will experience severe heat conditions with temperatures exceeding 40°C.
In the Jordan Valley, temperatures will climb up to 44°C and possibly beyond. The extreme heat requires the public to pay close attention to vulnerable populations such as the elderly, children and the sick. The stabilization of the weather and the return to the temperature that characterizes June will continue into Monday.
