Federal police arrest smuggler after attempted escape and chase near Mittenwald - man in custody. The 21-year-old was taken into custody today on a court order.
He suddenly sprayed an officer who was able to catch up with him in the face with pepper spray. The officer injured by the irritant was taken by ambulance to the clinic in Garmisch-Partenkirchen for further treatment of his eyes. He was no longer able to serve for the time being.
