There are 8.9 million Italians who spent a holiday in the snow between January and March. Of these, 6.5 million took a skiing holiday, while 2.4 chose to concentrate their holidays on weekends.
The turnover will be equal to 6.1 billion euros, of which 4.3 billion are for ski weeks. For one-week holidays, 95.5% remain in Italy with 72.6% going to the northern regions and only 22.9% to the central-southern ones.
