A 22-year-old man was indicted for the murder of his girlfriend and placed in pre-trial detention in Fort-de-France. The indicted confessed to being the author of the shot which fatally hit a 22- year-old woman in the face during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in a residence in the city.
“She was murdered because she is a woman,” protested Culture Egalité, another Martinican feminist association. This is the third murder committed in Martinique since the start of the year, the first feminicide.
