Fiat Panda to be produced at Pomigliano until at least 2027, says Fiat CEO. Production will increase by around 20% from mid-March, he added.
The Fiat Panda has been manufactured at Pomigliano since 2011. Earlier this month Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares said the Italo-Franco-US group needed "all the Italian plants" to meet the stated target of producing one million vehicles in Italy per year. He previously sparked union alarm by saying some plantsmight be threatened unless the group got major subsidies from the government to make electric cars.
