Langenbach's first village flea market took place on Sunday. Citizens from Langenbach sold discarded items in their gardens, in driveways and in front of houses and garages.

Flea market fans praised this unusual concept, but suggested a digital map to show exactly where the sales stands are. “Neighbors spent the day more casually than they have in a long time,” said mayor Susanne Hoyer of the successful event.. Some got to know each other at the garden fence, others grilled together, others chilled together and others still chilled with each other in the garden. And further: “There will definitely be a sequel, perhaps, with adigital map and aculinary “culinary islands” and a digital menu,’ said mayor Hoyer, who added that it was “part of the plan” to have a sociable event in the village, as well as a bazaar and a fleaMarket.
