Flood alert level 3 has been lifted on the Helme in the Mansfeld-Südharz district. Water from the Kelbra dam had been drained into the helmets in a controlled manner for a long time.
This relieved the pressure on the dam. The plan is to continue to control the release from the dam until Friday so that alert level 2 can be maintained. The second of a total of four alert levels now applies, it was said on Tuesday from the flood forecast center in Magdeburg.
