Six departments, including Pas-de-Calais, are still on orange alert for flooding. Significant floods are already underway in Pas- de-Calas, and are forecast for Wednesday.
Météo France has also placed the Pyrénées-Atlantiques onorange alert in the face of a “high risk of avalanches”. “This Tuesday, significant quantities of snow will fall on the Pyrenees above 1,000 m. Avalanche activity will therefore increase during the day on Tuesday,” specifies the weather organization.
