The hypothetical scenario involved terrorists attempting to direct a drone carrying explosives into a crowd. Shots by a sniper from a roof at emergency services were also simulated, as was a knife attack in a building where football fans had retreated. The training took place mainly on the police and Bundeswehr premises in Nuremberg, Roth, Sulzbach-Rosenberg and Amberg. The last CET took place twelve years ago in Schleswig-Holstein.
