The Weilheim-Schongau district will officially join the Munich transport and tariff association from January 1, 2025. The Free State of Bavaria covers up to 90 percent of the costs incurred through the funding program to create comprehensive network structures.
The money flowed into new ticket printers, timetable notices and the adaptation of ticket machines. The districts of Landsberg am Lech and Mühldorf am Inn could also join at the same time if appropriate committee decisions are made. Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the city and district of Landshut could follow in 2026.
