Michelin in pole position to supply airless tires for the future lunar module. Michelin was the sole supplier of tires to NASA for the space shuttles between 1981 and 2011.
The future Moon Racer lunar module will embark for the Moon in 2028. A technological challenge that the world's No. 1 tire manufacturer has been preparing for for three years now, because driving on the Moon is far from an easy task. The finalist companies are Venturi Astrolab, Lunar Outpost and Texan Intuitive Machines.
