No suspects have been identified so far and investigations are underway on initial suspicion of a crime. Police are investigating on own initiative, despite the lack of reports of racist incidents at carnival celebrations in the two states. Police: “xenophobic” statements were said to have been made during a children’s carnival in Geiersthal (Regen district) on Sunday, February 11th.
