Galloway cattle are achieving initial success in the Brucker Moos. The aim is to promote species diversity and create new habitats, especially for meadow-nesting birds.

The 18 Galloway cattle are part of the extensive farming. This means that an area is cultivated with only a small amount of labor per year. It is hoped that extensive grazing will bring about a positive change in the structures in the project area. The first mapping of vegetation, breeding birds, grasshoppers, dragonflies and cicadas were carried out by the landscape architecture firm Niederlöhner.
