The United States carried out the first airdrops of humanitarian aid over Gaza on Saturday. Three US military planes parachuted 66 “packages”, equivalent to more than 38,000 meals.

Other airdrops are expected to follow, according to National Security Council spokesman John Kirby. If they are complementary to the routing of aid by truck, they could be a solution to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. The problem is more pressing every day. The U.S. government is trying to find a way to help the Gazans.
