18 people died Monday during a humanitarian aid drop in the northern Gaza Strip. Originally, the idea was to relieve the distress of Gazans, especially in the north of the Palestinian territory.

At the beginning of March, five people had already lost their lives in a similar operation. Hamas is calling for their multiplication, instead of air drops, as land access is very limited in the region. If nothing is done, widespread famine could threaten this territory of 2.4 million inhabitants, according to the UN.
