Germany cuts its economic growth forecast for the current year and sets it at 0.2%, compared to 1.3% previously. “At the start of this year, the German economy is still in a difficult situation,” commented Steffen Hebestreit, government spokesperson, at a press conference.

More information to come…. The euro zone's largest economy is expected to grow by 0.4% this year and 0.5% in 2015. The German government is now counting on an increase of 0.1% in gross domestic product.
