Greece wants to open up to private and foreign universities. A controversial bill is under discussion in Parliament in order to combat the departure of graduate students.
Never before has the French embassy in Greece seen so many French higher education establishments participating in the Salon des études en France, in Athens. “No less than 40 establishments and 16 universities are concerned, with a 20% increase in Greek students in France,” says the university and scientific cooperation services of the French Institute of Greece.
