Groundbreaking ceremony for rescue station in Kochel: The new building is expected to be largely completed this year. The two-story building measuring 26 by 12.5 meters is to be built right next to the old station.
The need to move is due to the miserable condition of the old mountain rescue facilities and the water rescue service's lack of its own domicile. “We are happy that we now have a really nice construction site,” joked Mayor Müller. The project not only serves the community and its citizens, but also everyone who is in need.
