Hail and snow force the AP-7 and the Transversal Axis to be cut in Catalonia. Drivers are trapped for hours on the highway while the Santa Fe del Montseny area accumulates three centimeters of snow.
The storm, which began at 4:30 p.m., has caused closures on the highways and traffic jams that have trapped drivers for at least five hours. In the afternoon, the rains have passed from the interior of Catalonia towards the coast, in some places with hail. "They are of weak or occasionally moderate intensity" and sometimes with hail, adds Meteocat.
