Halle attacker will soon be in prison in Thuringia. Stephan Balliet is considered a safety risk to himself and others.
Balliet was sentenced to the maximum sentence in 2020 for the racist and anti-Semitic attack in Halle. The 32-year-old was housed in the Raßnitz youth center in southern Saxony-Anhalt during the trial, the Ministry of Justice in Magdeburg announced. The man was brought to the Tonna correctional facility in the Gotha district.
