Hamburg Airport is canceling all departures on Thursday. The airport announced on Tuesday evening that 141 planned departures were affected.
Passengers were asked to contact their airline and not come to the airport. The airports in Berlin, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe/Baden Baden and Cologne are also affected. The strike is aimed at increasing the pressure on employers in the current aviation security collective bargaining round. It can also be assumed that the after-effects of the strike will still be felt on Friday - and thus at the start of the holidays.
