FC Hansa Rostock beat Eintracht Braunschweig 2-1 (0-0) in the 2nd Bundesliga season finale. Lukas Fröde and Pascal Breier scored the goals for the hosts.
Immanuel Pherai scored for Lower Saxony, who remain in the league despite the defeat. Coach Alois Schwartz's contract was extended by two years until 2025 a few hours earlier. Rostock ended up in 13th place in the final standings.
