César Caytano (23) was in the patio of a friend's house when three people entered and shot him down. The crime occurred in Bernardo de Irigoyen, in Misiones, near the Argentina-Brazil border.
His stepfather had been murdered 9 months ago. In addition to the cases of contract killings, there have been at least two other murders of people linked to trade across the border in the last three years. The cases of hitmen began in 2021 and the victims were people connected to informal trade with Brazil.
