Brigitte Bardot Foundation helps stray pigs threatened with euthanasia. Hundreds of Vietnamese-type black pigs have been proliferating and wandering for several years at the entrance to the La Palun industrial zone in Marignane.
The pigs had become such a nuisance that the town hall had 350 of them killed last December, to the great dismay of animal rights associations. The objective is to shelter the animals in a pension near Salon-de-Provence where, to avoid any overpopulation, the females are separated from the males.
