In Marseille, a dockworker suspected of having participated in contraband cigarette trafficking arrested. More than 500 packages and 80,000 euros were seized by the police.
During searches carried out at the home of one of the suspects, nearly 80,00 euros in cash hidden under the mattress of a child's bed were discovered by investigators. The investigation, meanwhile, continues and the four suspects were finally brought to court with a view to opening a judicial investigation. The dockworker, still wearing his reflective vest, had arranged to meet three individuals in the underground parking lot of a residence.
