A 36-year-old broke into a shop at Munich's Ostbahnhof on the night of February 26th to 27th. He easily got into the store through the unlocked sliding door and then tried to open the cash register.

After he caught the man in the act, he confronted him. However, the burglar was able to escape through the back door. He was caught by federal police officers who had been alerted in the meantime. Investigations into an attempted particularly serious case of theft and trespassing were initiated.
