Already adopted by the National Assembly, the constitutional bill relating to the freedom to resort to voluntary termination of pregnancy (abortion) was submitted to the vote of the Upper House this Wednesday, February 28. A vote which promised to be much closer, its president Gérard Larcher having notably spoken out against this constitutional modification. Ultimately, with 267 votes for and 50 against that the Senate ratified the bill drafted by the government.
