Gusts of up to 110 km/h were recorded in the Aosta Valley, Italy. No injuries were reported from the strong winds.
The area was closed to the public for security reasons, the local government said in a statement. It was the second day in a row that the area had been hit by strong wind gusts. The weather service said the wind was caused by a “sudden and unexpected change in the weather conditions.” It was not known if any injuries had been caused by the wind.
