The woman from the Czech Republic tried to justify herself. Her child didn't want to go skiing and therefore stayed in the car. She gave the child's 13-year-old brother supervision. Even though this operation was probably unusual, emergency services have to be deployed to the mountains again and again during the ski season. Because accidents are not rare. And falls from chair lifts are not uncommon.
