Florence police confiscate 58 tickets for the Academy of Florence at a price of 25 euros each compared to an official price of 16 euros. 16 tickets for Uffizi at the price of 40 euros, instead of the 26 euros planned.

The Academy subcontracts part of the sale of its tickets to the company Opera Laboratori Fiorentini, which subcontracts to tour operators, travel agencies, large hotels and other platforms. The Finance Guard - the customs and financial police - of Florence arrested four street vendors, employees of travel agencies or platforms, in the entry queues at the Offices. They were trying to sell tickets at prices sometimes twice those normally indicated by the Ministry of Culture, claiming a vague queue-cut. It is the latest in a series of scams targeting visitors to Italy's top tourist attractions, including the Colosseum and the Pantheon in Rome, as well as the Vatican and the Trevi Fountain in Venice.
