Italy's inflation rate rose to 0.8% in January - Istat. The national statistics agency said its consumer price index was up by 0.3% in month-on-month terms.
The rise in the annual inflation rate was mainly due to the prices of services related to transport. But 'core inflation', excluding energy and unprocessed food, decelerated from 3.1% to 2.7%. The core inflation rate excluding only energy goods dropped from3.4% to 3.0%.
