Japanese take over writing instrument manufacturer Lamy. Mitsubishi Pencil Company from Japan takes over Heidelberg-based company.
Lamy was looking for a strong partner to further develop the growth area of digital writing and expand international sales. The family business, founded in 1930, is one of the leading design brands in the writing instrument sector. According to its own information, it employs more than 340 people and has sales outlets in over 80 countries. The process will now be successfully completed with the sale of all shares in the company.
