Kitesurfers in distress. Jetty builders from the Ammersee lake shipping company fished a kitesurfer in distress out of the water.
The five men were returning from lunch when they heard shouts from the lake. Passers-by on the Herrschinger waterfront had also heard these calls and called the emergency number. Back on the bank, the fire brigade and ambulance were already waiting to take care of the hypothermic kite surfer. The alerted Utting water rescue service, which was already on its way to Herrsching Bay, was able to turn away again.
