Lady Gucci's legacy, her former cellmate is on trial. Loredana Canò, the cellmate who later became a friend and assistant of Lady Gucci, was sent to trial along with three other people.
The various charges include aggravated circumvention of incompetence, theft, embezzlement and corruption in the exercise of the function. Two suspects have reached a plea agreement. The lawyer Maurizio Giani, lawyer of Mrs Barbieri, who died in her nineties in 2019, was instead fully acquitted at the end of the abbreviated trial.
