In the end, the driverless boat was recovered between the local connecting bridges near Thenn and Wartenberg. Torn cords were discovered on it, which, according to the Erding police station, indicates that the moored kayak broke loose - and that no boat accident occurred here. Why the kayak ended up drifting abandoned on the Isar Canal cannot currently be conclusively clarified.
