The head of state went Monday to Normandy, to celebrate the 1000,<> years of the foundation of the abbey. It is a mandatory point of passage for any president of the Republic in search of height of vision, historical depth, distance, also, with the ordinary vicissitudes of political life.
On the outskirts of Mont-Saint-Michel, some locals with knowledge of the presidential visit are trying to rally the monument to try to challenge it when it goes up to the ab Abbey.
