Major (Resp.) Yitzhar Hoffman will be laid to rest today. Hoffman, 36, fell in an encounter near Shati in the north of the Gaza Strip.
He left behind a wife and two children. Hoffman studied at the Or Torah Stone Neve Shmuel yeshiva and is the ninth to fall from theYeshiva. He served as a platoon commander in the D.G. unit and was wounded on the first day of the war in Kibbutz Bari.
