Major General Ziv Chen was killed in battle in the southern Gaza Strip. Chen, 27 years old at the time of his death, was a reserve fighter in the 630th Battalion of the Southern Brigade.
He is survived by his wife Hillel and his two parents Avraham and Rosa. "He was an angel from heaven, just a week and a half ago He and his wife told the family members that she was pregnant," shared Chen's uncle, Danny. The Hesder yeshiva in Yeruham paid tribute to him: "Light instruments and lions have grown to make their will rise up and make a sharp object"
