Man arrested at the airport shortly before departure - million-dollar discovery immediately set alarm bells ringing. Just a few weeks ago, a similar case occurred at Munich Airport - albeit with a smaller amount of cash in the luggage.
A 44-year-old German of Iranian descent was identified and arrested as the suspected owner of the two suitcases. The suspect, who lived in the Munich area, was arrested on the strong suspicion of money laundering. A judge at the Landshut District Court ordered the seizure of cash and two cell phones from the suspect and issued an arrest warrant.
