María Marta García Belsunce was found dead in the bathtub of her home in 2002. The first suspect for the victim's family was the neighbor Nicolás Pachelo.
The prosecutor, however, suspects the widower and his family. In 22 years there were convictions and acquittals. Now Cassation reversed the ruling that had favoredPachelo and sentenced him to life. For the new prosecutors, the motive was robbery, and the case was reinvestigated.
